Diocese of Libmanan
The Diocese of Libmanan is formerly part of the Archdiocese of Caceres. On December 9, 1989, it was established as the Territorial Prelature of Libmanan from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Caceres. It was canonically erected as a Prelature on March 19, 1990. On March 25, 2009, it was elevated to the rank of a diocese. The Archdiocese of Caceres is one of the oldest dioceses in the Philippines. Established in 1595 by Pope Clement VIII with Cebu and Nueva Segovia when Manila was elevated to an Archbishopric. It originally included the entire Bicol Region, the Provinces of Quezon, Batangas, up until Palanan, Isabela in the North.
